Edgar Hunt, 1876-1955, one of the most accomplished animal painters in UK, famous for his farmyard artworks. Edgar Hunt was good at oil paintings of chickens but the artist also painted other birds and fowls such as ducks which were very popular during that period. Donkeys, goats and ponies were also in demand and at which he excelled. He was not a public man and rarely exhibited. Since his death Edgar Hunt paintings have rapidly increased in popularity, and are now avidly collected.
