Alfred Glendening, 1861-1907, a Victorian landscape artist. In 1864 he exhibited first oil painting at The Royal Society of British Artists, Morning on Grassmore Lake. From that point on, Alfred Glendening became a frequent exhibitor at the Society, as well as the Royal Academy (RA)-exhibiting A Cornfield-Kent, in 1865. The English landscape paintings were his specialty-depicting views of the Thames and scene of Wales and Scotland
