Alexey Petrovich Bogolyubov (Russian: Алексей Петрович Боголюбов; 1824 – 1896) was a Russian painter of cityscapes, sea warfare, warships/battleships, naval war, ships, and landscapes. In 1885, Bogolyubov opened an art museum in Saratov, the Radischev Art Museum.After his death, Bogolyubov left all his money and capital to the museum and Bogolyubov's Painting School.
In 2008, oil painting on canvas by Alexei Petrovich Bogoliubov, 53 by 82 cm, was sold for 1,049,000 USD on Sotheby's auction of RUSSIAN ART in New York.
