Here are Chinese landscape paintings by famous Chinese painters who are popular contemporary artists such as Chen Yifei, Yan Wenliang. Most of these Chinese Shanshui oil painting depict the scenes of water towns in southern China where named Jiangnan or yangtze river delta. Students that study abroad look at the paintings as an important step in understanding parts of the culture, especially since Xie Lingyun is considered the father of Shanshui poetry.
