Carl Heinrich Bloch, 1834-1890, was a Danish painter, finished the decoration of the ceremonial hall at the University of Copenhagen. Carl Bloch reached higher toward the great heaven of art than all other Danish artists up to that date. His death came as "an abrupt blow for Nordic art". The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made heavy use of Carl Bloch paintings. The LDS church has produced films using Bloch's oils art as models. His pictures are also shown at the Museum of Fine Art, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. -- The Copyright of Scripts is Reserved by Toperfect.
