Alfons Maria Mucha, 1860-1939, was a Czech Art Nouveau
painter and decorative artist, known best for his distinct style. The Slav Epic (Slovanská epopej), a series of twenty huge Mucha paintings depicting the history of the Czech
and the Slavic people in general, From 1963 till now was on display in the chateau and National Gallery's Veletržní Palace in the Czech Republic.
