Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky(Russian: Ива́н Константи́нович Айвазо́вский), 1817-1900, was a Russian Romantic painter and considered to be one of the greatest marine artists in history. He created around 6,000 paintings, the majority of which were seascapes, but he often depicted battle scenes, Armenian themes, and portraiture. Most of Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky paintings are kept in Russian, Ukrainian and Armenian museums.
