Thomas Pollock Anshutz, 1851-1912, was an American painter, co-founder of The Darby School and leader at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His portraiture won him numerous awards. The Ironworkers' Noontime, was the most well known Thomas Pollock Anshutz art. The artist experimented with watercolors, bright color palette, and simple compositions.
