Thomas Cooper Gotch, 1854-1931, was an English Pre-Raphaelite oil painter. Gotch art were regularly exhibited at Cornwall, at the Royal Academy, Royal College of Art and the Paris Salon. His new combination of symbolic female figures, decorative Italian textiles and the static order of early Renaissance art brought him recognition.
