Orazio Lomi Gentileschi, 1563-1639, was an Italian oil painter in a Mannerist style, court painter of Charles I of England. Many Gentileschi arts consisted of the figures within the decorative schemes of other artists. One of the major Gentileschi paintings was a large ceiling painting of Apollo and the Muses for Buckingham's York House. The Finding of Moses was sent to Philip IV of Spain, being a gift from Charles I of England. Van Dyck made a drawing of Gentileschi who was a favorite artist of Queen Henrietta Maria so that, after death, was buried in the Queen's Chapel. -- The Copyright of Scripts is Reserved by Toperfect.
