Jules Joseph Lefebvre, 1836-1911, was a French figure painter. He won the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1861. Between 1855 and 1898, he exhibited 72 portrait art in the Paris Salon. In 1891, the artist became a member of the French Académie des Beaux-Arts. Many of Jules Joseph Lefebvre paintings were single figures of beautiful women. His best portraits oil on canvas was M. L.
