Henryk Hektor Siemiradzki, 1843-1902, was a Polish 19th-century painter, best remembered for his monumental Academic art. His artworks depicted scenes from the ancient Graeco-Roman world, the sunlit pastoral scenes and the lives of early Christians. The artist also painted biblical portraits and landscapes.
