Bartolomeo or Bartolommeo Vivarini, 1432-1499, was an Italian painter. He learned oil painting from Antonello da Messina, in in 1473 produced the first oil picture done in Venice. Most of his artworks, however, are in tempera. The Getty Museum, Harvard University Art Museums, the Honolulu Museum of Art, the Louvre, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the National Gallery, London, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pinacoteca Ambrosiana (Milan), etc., are among the public collections holding Bartolomeo Vivarini paintings. -- The Copyright of Scripts is Reserved by Toperfect.
